Nouns And Gender

Every nouns in English belongs to one of  four genders :
a. masculine
b. feminine
c. neuter
d.common

Masculine

The masculine gender is used when the noun refers to males ( persons and animals )

Examples :
man
bull
king

Feminine

The feminine gender is used when the noun refers to females ( persons and animals )

Examples :
woman
cow
queen

Neuter

The neuter gender refers to nouns that are neither masculine non feminine ; that is , they are inanimate

Examples :
book
water
table

Common

The common gender refers to nouns that are of either sex , masculine or feminine

Examples :
baby
bird
parent
